Hip Hip Hooray!

One of my nephews turned one a few weeks ago, and I've been wanting to use the hippo from Create a Critter because it's so gosh darn cute! To start, I took a piece of plain white card stock and used my brayer to roll blue and green ink on it. I then used a dark green Copic to draw grass blades. I cut the hippo at (I think) 2.5", and used my Pebbles pearlescent chalks to shade the hippo.

The phrase is cut at 1", and to rhyme with it, I used Type Candy Font to cut "You're 1 today!"

The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from one of the "Inside & Out" stamp sets from My Craft Spot. She has some wonderful stamp sets - go on over and check out her store!

Thanks for dropping in!
