Artbooking Celebrate Card

I have been wanting to use this overlay on a card for quite some time now, and my sister-in-law's birthday was the perfect opportunity to make one! I had to make my own card base to fit the overlay, so I cut a 7" x 8" dark pink shimmery card stock, and scored it to make a 3.5" x 8" card. I cut the overlay three times - in the dark brown, light pink, and green. I left the negative pieces to the pink and green on the mat to keep them in order. This makes it easier to place them in the brown overlay.

I cut one of the frames out at 3" (using Real Dial Size) and used the negative piece to cover a piece of chipboard that came with the Artbooking cartridge. "Celebrate" was cut at 1" (again at Real Dial Size), and I used Scotch Quick Dry glue to adhere it to the frame. I then cut an 8" x 1" strip of Doodlebug Sugarcoated cream paper to help the frame stand out, and added the Prima flowers for the finishing touch.

For the inside, I cut a 7 3/4" x 3 3/4" light pink insert, and stamped Happy Birthday (from CTMH Joyful Birthday) using Memento Rich Cocoa. The heart stamps came with the Artbooking cartridge, and were stamped using Memento Angel Pink.

Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a wonderful night!

Wedding Card with Tie the Knot

One of my cousins got married last month, and I wanted to make a card that was sparkly and elegant for her and her new husband. I pulled out the Tie the Knot cartridge, and cut the dress out at 5", and "Love" out at 2". I embossed the white part of the dress using the Divine Swirls folder, and once both the dress and "Love" were put together, I sprayed them with the Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist.

While that was drying, I used Core'dinations ColorCore Whitewash to create the background. I embossed it with one of the folders from Cuttlebug's "Love is in the Air" set, then sanded it to reveal the color underneath the surface.

I embellished the neck and sash of the dress with rhinestones, and attached everything to the card with pop dots. The ribbon and rhinestone flower are attached with Glue Dots.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiments with VersaMark ink and dusted silver embossing powder over the stamped images, then used my trusty heat gun to finish the embossing process.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for your wedding card making! Thanks for reading!

Baby Boy Mini Album

One of the really neat aspects of the Artbooking cartridge is that there are several different mini albums you can cut out, and you can even mix and match some of the different albums to create your own unique mini album! I did just that to make this mini album for a good friend that recently had a baby boy.

The deer, "so dear", and "special delivery are from Create a Critter.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a great day!
